The National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer of NEPAD Nigeria, Hon. (Princess) Gloria Akobundu has expressed belief that a woman can rule the world. She referred to the efforts of Hilary Clinton before the United States of America’s election. She made this remark when the Women in Politics Forum recently paid her a courtesy call in her office.

NEPAD Nigeria NC/CEO who is also a member of Women in Politics Forum appreciated their coming and stated that the visit showed their solidarity, not only to her but to the government of the day for recognising women and their potential.

Princess Akobundu stated that women should come together irrespective of Party differences to move the country forward, stressing that when election is won, governance follows and in governance, it will be wrong to look at barriers of political parties.
The president ‘Women in Politics Forum’ Barr. Ebere Ifendu explained that ‘women in politics Forum’ is a multi party organisation for women in politics comprising women from the 40 registered political parties in Nigeria. She stated that it would be difficult for any Party to win elections without the women and that the Organisation is ready to work with any Organisation that champions the cause of women.
Barr. Ifendu enjoined NC/CEO of NEPAD to represent the women well in her appointment in order to make her tenure in NEPAD a reference point for the future. She further stated that, as a member of the Organisation, Princess Akobundu should know that her success is also their success.
