From inception to date the following activities was carried out:

  • Press conference was held with print media on january 26th.
  • Preparation of jingles in English, Kanuri and Hausa and subsequent airing in both NTA and BRTV conservatively for work.
  •  Sensitization visit to both NTA Zonal Network Centre Maiduguri and to Borno Radio and Television Authority on 6th to 12th March respectively.
  •  Launching of the State Coordinator office on 11th of March 2009 by the then Governor Sen. (Dr) Ali Modu Sheriff.
  • Inauguration of 15 member State Working Group on 31st March 2009 by the Secretary to the State Government. Amb. Baba Ahmed Jidda.
  • Member of the State Working Group held inaugural meeting on 31st March, 2009. Chaired by Alh. Ibrahim Lawan Bukar while the state coordinator acted as the secretary to farmiliarize members at the board room of the coordinating office.
  • The coordinating office had approval from the Governor for the implementation of the (NPOA) NEPAD National Programme of Action by various ministries, agencies and local government. The coordinating office liaised with the Budget Department and same parts of the (NPOA) for the approval in the 2010 budget.
  • A proposal was sent to their state cchief executive to pay an advocacy visit to all the traditional rulers, and chairmen of the 27 local governments in the state and also for the formation of the local government structure of NEPAD
  • The coordinating office was actively involve on the request of the National Planning Commission (NPC) for the state to prepare vision to form part of the vision 2020 document.
  • A memorandum on the formation of APRM Africa Peer Review Mechanism state steering committee was also submited to the government.
  • A one day sensitization workshop on sustainable land management was held at the conference hall of the ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Musa Usman Secretariat.
  • As part of promoting awareness of the establishment of NEPAD state coordinating office, T.shirts face caps and stickers were distributed.

Three memorandum were submitted to the present administration request for:-
a. Rent payment
b. Overhead cost and
c. Operation vehciles for the office.
